Read the guideFour multi-member council districts use a different ballot method
Portland has four council districts, each electing three councilors. Its Mayor and Auditor are separate citywide offices. The city's official voting guidance distinguishes multi-winner ranked-choice voting for council from the single-winner method for Mayor and Auditor; the older commissioner model should not describe current council candidacies.
Prepare the local office record
The Auditor remains a distinct citywide candidacy. Identify the actual office before linking ballot guidance, and use the appropriate single- or multi-winner explanation. Shared events do not combine the candidate committees' sender authority or campaign permissions.
