Read the guideThe Strip and a Las Vegas postal address are not city limits
Las Vegas elects its Mayor citywide and council members in six wards. Much of the Strip lies in unincorporated Clark County rather than the municipality. County, township court, school, and special-district contests therefore need their own office records even when an event or mailing address says Las Vegas.
Prepare the local office record
Related offices on this page retain their real namespaces: Clark County, justice township, school district, or special district. That lets staff move from a familiar regional name to the actual elected entity before discussing sender preparation or campaign messages.

Municipal government structure
Las Vegas uses council-manager government, combining its elected officials with an appointed City Manager. A mayoral campaign should be described through that actual municipal structure rather than assuming the title establishes the same administrative arrangement as every other city.
