Build a packet that tells one story
For a political program, the committee name, public filing record, authorized contact, use case, permission workflow, and sample content should describe the same operation. A phone number alone does not describe the campaign.
| Packet item | Worked example field | Review question |
|---|---|---|
| Committee | Fictional Meadowbrook Council Committee | Does the submitted name match the actual filing record? |
| Authorized contact | Campaign’s designated preparation owner | Who may resolve identity questions? |
| Use case | Neighborhood event information | Does the sample text match the intended program? |
| Audience evidence | Permission-record reference held by the campaign | What evidence supports this sending method and list? |
| Sample content | Committee identity, event details, link and opt-out instruction | Is the exact intended message represented? |
| Volume | Campaign’s own estimate of recipients and sends | Do the format and usage assumptions agree? |
Separate the gates
Illustrative preparation sequence: verify the actual committee record; complete applicable political program verification; submit the required sender and use-case information; confirm the provider’s status for the intended program; then run a controlled preflight. These are dependencies, not promised turnaround times.
A mismatch to catch before submission
Suppose the filing record uses one committee name while the website and sample text identify another. Reconcile that identity discrepancy before submitting the packet. Retain the corrected source and version; copying the inconsistency into another form does not resolve it.
Keep evidence for the launch decision
Retain verification references, provider status, sender assignment, approved sample version, and preflight result. Committee verification does not establish approval of every sender, and sender approval does not establish permission to message an unrelated list.
