Political 10DLC Throughput

Throughput is a rate of processing or transmission, not a guarantee that every recipient receives or reads a text within a fixed window.

Throughput and queue planning

Separate provider acceptance, queue release, carrier handoff, and delivery reporting. The slowest relevant stage can determine whether a time-sensitive message is still useful.

Putting the guide into practice

Estimate required capacity from recipients, encoded segments per message, sends, and the useful delivery window. Ask the provider which rate limit applies to that exact sender and use case.

  • Volume
  • Segments
  • Provider limit
  • Expiry
  • Backlog alert

Limits and review decisions

Do not divide a list size by an advertised maximum and present the result as a promised delivery time. Account for queues, failures, and expiration.
