Local planning utility
MMS Media Preparation Checker
Inspect a local file’s size, browser-provided MIME type, and decodable image dimensions.
How the calculation works
The checker compares decimal kilobytes (1 KB = 1,000 bytes) against your editable provider limit and the comma-separated allowed MIME types. A size exactly equal to the configured limit passes. Unknown MIME types do not pass the allowlist.
Assumptions and limits
No file is uploaded. Browser MIME information is not a security scan, carrier approval, or independent format verification. Provider and carrier transcoding can change the delivered asset.
Record this tool result
Retain the file version, reported type and dimensions, and the provider limit you entered. The local inspection can be repeated after a new export; actual sender and device presentation still require controlled testing.
